Nater's First Christmas

Merry Christmas!

This Christmas was really nice. We woke up and Jen & I took the babies to Grandma Vonna's! Grandma Veda, Aunt Dorothy, Mel, Trent, Stefo, and Gregg & his family were there to open gifts and have coffee :). The kids got a lot of nice gifts and Melissa & I got duck sweaters, crock pots and a really awesome cook book :).

After Vonna's we came back home and had breakfast (at lunch time) with my family and Ryan & Andi. Then it took Ryan, Andi, the twins, Jenny & I about 45 minutes to put together the kitchen set that Addie got from her uncle Josh..lol. After that fiasco we opened our gifts and spent the day eating and hanging out.

The only thing that could have made Christmas better is if Loren was here! I really miss him and I can't wait to be a normal family again!

Other then that, this Christmas was a success! Christmas is just going to get more and more fun as the kids get older :)

Only One More Week!

Ughh I miss my husband! I'm so so sick of waiting for him to finally be done in 29 Palms and COME home. These last couple months have been draggggging on.. I just have to hang in there for one more week! Unless they do what they did last time we only had a week left and make us wait another 3 weeks...

Addison Turns Two!

It's official! My baby girl is not a baby anymore. She's a big 2 year old!

I made her cupcakes for her birthday (and went a little nuts with the frosting) and we had some gifts for her but we're not going to have her birthday party until Loren comes home :) So until then, here are some pictures!!

The only crappy thing is that I had my ISO setting wrong and didn't know it until after I put all her pictures on the computer so some of these pictures turned out grainy :( Wahh

Jen's Senior Pics

After posting these on Facebook, I got requests from Kristy, Rachel & Veronica to do their family pictures! I would love to do that! :) Jen also wants me to take pictures of her and her 3 best friends. I would love to do this on the side! It's so much fun!

My Babies

Addison is growing up so fast. She's been using her potty a lot lately, counting everything and talking in sentences and not just single words. She's also picking up on everything we do.. Even the bad things. This morning I dropped my phone and she said "Ohhh shit." lol I couldn't believe it! This little girl is going get me in trouble.. She's also so good with her baby dolls. She sees mommy take care of Nathan and she does the same things with her baby. I even gave her a couple of diapers that she can have for her babies. She'll change them and wipe them then feed them with her toy bottles. Then she burps them and swaddles them and puts them to bed. So cute! She's going to be a great mom someday!

Nathan is getting sooo big! He is always smiling and cooing. He'll even stop in the middle of a bottle and just smile at me :) He's also a calm baby. He'll sit quietly in his chair in the morning just watching me make breakfast for Addie, myself some coffee, and his bottle before getting fussy.
I love my babies! I am so thankful to have such wonderful healthy kids :)

Nathan Turns 3 Months!

Nathan turned 3 months old on Dec 7th! He's getting soo big! I can't wait for his next appointment (at 4mo) to see how much bigger he's gotten. He's starting to coo a lot too! I'll talk to him and he'll copy me :) He is now in size 2 diapers and size 6mo clothes. I feel like as soon as I get him in a bigger size, it's already time to go up another size! I can't keep up with this baby ;). The only thing I don't like about this growth spurt is that his sleeping pattern is wayyy off. Instead of sleeping 4-5 hours, up for 45 minutes then another 4-5 hours at night, he's been taking mini naps from the afternoon until about 1am!! Then only sleeping 2 hours at a time :( It's exhausting.. But that's why they made coffee! I just hope we go back to normal soon.

Addison is still doing great with her baby brother! She still gives hugs and kisses and she'll share toys and blankets. She's also really good about knowing what is his and what is hers. She never takes anything away from him because she thinks it's hers. I think it helps that all his stuff is blue ;). And she stopped calling him "Ant" and starting calling him "Nate"..Lol.

I love my babies! Even if they give me a hard time sometimes, they are soo cute and funny :)

This month we are still looking forward to Addison's 2nd birthday!! I can't believe my little girl will be 2 already! And it will be Nate's first Christmas and the first Christmas where Addie will actually know whats going on!

I am also planning on doing Christmas pictures with the kids. Just the kids this year because Loren won't be home until January 3rd (long story). So I need to take those soon and I'm also going to take some pictures of just Addie for her birthday! :) Yay lots to do!

33 Weeks Picture!

Belly is getting BIG!! lol.

33 weeks along!

Only about 7 more weeks to go!!

I had another appointment yesterday (I'm now at the point where they want to see me every 2 weeks)! It was an in-&-out appointment. She just checked the heart beat and how big my belly was getting. Everything looks great! I'm gaining a normal amount of weight, mine & baby's hearts sound good, and he is now in the 'head down' position!

I did ask about when I'll be getting another ultrasound and she said, "Oh we usually don't do those at the end anymore because height & weight are always off and they don't tell us much." What? I don't care! I want to get a glimpse of what he's going to look like with a 3D ultrasound.. But since I was only talking to the mid-wife and not my Dr., I didn't say anything. I figured I'd talk to my actual Dr. at my next appointment about it. But just to be sure.. I called Kristy. Kristy is one of my best friends and she works that the doctor's office where they would send me to get my ultrasound done at. She said that Tricare already approved an ultrasound for me and that if my Dr doesn't set one up, she would! :) Thanks Mother Hen! What would I do without you? So hopefully I'll be getting an ultrasound here in the next couple weeks :)

Other pregnancy stuff..

Cravings? Some. Nothing crazy.. I usually crave lots of milk, bananas and glasses & glasses of ice water at night. I also like my ice cream but who doesn't? ;)

Movement? He is still moving quite a bit (while I'm trying to fall asleep..) but that's ok because I'd rather him keep me up because of moving then not move at all!

Sleepy? Yes! But I do feel like the iron pills are finally starting to fix my anemia because I am feeling like I have a little more energy. But sleeping all night and 2 long naps a day with Addie still sounds good! :) I just hope that after I have Nathan, I get my energy back because I'll be lucky to even sleep at night and have no naps..lol.

I think that's it for now.. I can't think of anything else that's going on with my pregnancy.. lol

Crater Lake

Last Saturday my dad, mom, sister, Addison and I took a nice trip to Crater Lake! It's been I think about 8 years since I've been up there and the last time I was up there It was snowing (which makes it even more beautiful!). So I was real excited that we got to go there again! It's kinda sad that It's only about an hour and fifteen minutes aways and somehow it took me so long to go back up there :(

It's amazing how clear & blue the water is!

My sister & I went and saw this movie on Sunday! It was really good! Zac Efron did a really good job! This is another movie that I'll have to get on DVD then avoid watching because I don't want to cry...lol. I've already done that with Dear John & Remember Me..;)

32 Weeks!!

So I'm 32 weeks along now! I'm so glad that I'm almost done being pregnant and I'll be holding our new baby in my arms soon! I'm still feeling tired all the time but lucky for me, Addison sleeps all night and takes 2 long naps with me during the day :). I've been taking iron pills because I'm anemic but I don't feel like it's working.. and I feel like I'm really big and I can't believe that I'm still going to get bigger..lol.

Easy Bath Toys!

All you need is a pack of sponges.. Then cut them into slices..

Use dental floss (doubled up) to tie them together..

And look! Really easy-to-make bath toys! :)

Homemade Stacking Blocks!

This was a really easy & fun project! All I did was get these boxes from the Dollar Tree.. Then I painted them :)

I glued the lids to the boxes using a hot glue gun and then added numbers & shapes! :)

Addison loves them! :)
