Friday Night Blogging

Addie's been having a bad week. On Monday morning, we took her to the doctors because her voice was really scratchy and she had a bad rash. Turns out that she wasn't sick, her vocal cords are just developing and her voice will be back to normal soon. But she did have a yeast infection.. Apparently they are common in babies, to my surprise. So we got some cream for that and now both of those problems are going away.. Sadly though, she is now sick for real. She got a cold from Trenten and now she has a really bad runny nose. Poor baby. But the good news is that she really doesn't know she's sick. She's still smiling and laughing :)

Tomorrow is Saturday and Loren & I are going to start moving everything out of our 2nd bedroom and putting it into our room and the garage. Hopefully we can get everything moved out and organized in one day (doubt it) so that Melissa can start moving her stuff in..

Melissa and Trenten are staying with us while Brent deploys. I know we don't have the biggest house but Melissa is a good roommate so I think everything will be fine. The thing I'm worried about right now is Brent. Brent doesn't deploy until October and they have to be out of their house my Sept.. That means that Brent has to stay here too for a month or more.. I'm not sure how this is going to work. Brent and I haven't been getting along very well lately. And I know him living here is going to start fights... I'm a clean person and I like my house to be clean too.. Brent is a slob.. So we'll see how this goes. I'm sure you'll see more blog posts with reason why Brent made me mad that day..

Sadie is doing good! She's getting bigger and a lot better with training. She usually tries to get our attention when she has to go outside to potty. But she still isn't perfect ;) Today I took Addison and her to the park next to our house and let Sadie off her leash while Addie & I sat on the bench. She was really good about staying near me and I kept her off the leash when we walked back home. I'm really happy with her! She's going to be a really good family dog :)

Puppy Training

Training Sadie is going good. She generally knows the rules but she hasn't perfected any of them ;) She's having a hard time remembering which toys are hers and which are Addie's. We keep all Addison's toys in one part of the living room so hopefully she'll get the hang of it.

We are getting a bark collar on Monday. Not for Sadie, for Guss. He has been a real pain in the ass with barking ever since we moved back down here and now that we have a puppy, he's been worse because they stay outside more often.

But other then that, every thing's going good. It's only been 6 days since we brought her home and she's fitting right in. She's such a good dog and you can tell that she's going to be a good dog for Addie :)

Sadie Mae

We finally have our puppy! She's such a good pup. She's already almost potty trained and she knows certain commands like "no" and "down".. She also kinda knows "outside" and "go potty". I can't believe how easy she is. And she's good with Addie. She just licks Addies fingers and toes and Addison thinks its soo funny ;) And she's so pretty and soft. Very cuddly! Right now she sleeps in her kennel in our laundry room (which she dislikes very much) but once she's fully potty trained, we're going to let her sleep on her bed in our room :)
